One of the most important things that you can buy after purchasing your window tint is a warranty. If you bought your window tint from a local dealer, you should be able to get a quote for the window tint and installation at the same time. However, many dealers do not offer warranties. You have to check carefully to make sure that the dealer will honor their warranty. If they do not offer a guarantee, find another dealer.
There are several different window tint warranties available. Your warranty will depend on the amount of money that you want to pay for the window tint. If you are installing a brand new window tint, you may find that you only need to purchase a one year warranty, whereas, if you are restoring an old window tint, you may need a two-year or more warranty. The price of the warranty is usually about one-third of the price of the window tint.
You can also find a warranty at the manufacturer. If you buy from a well-known manufacturer, the warranty is likely with that manufacturer for a limited time. However, you have to check with the warranty policy to see if it applies to your particular tint. It is not unusual for the manufacturer to offer a limited warranty for a limited period of time.
Many people who use window tint find that they do not need to purchase extra warranties because the original window tint that they have installed works fine. In this case, you will just have to make sure that the film adheres properly to the glass. If it doesn’t, you will have to either repair or replace the film. If you purchase your tint film in a store that sells window tint, you should be able to see the film that was installed and if the tint adheres to the glass correctly, you should not have any problems.
